at The Right Step

The Right Step specializes in a form of medical intervention called HIPPOTHERAPY, an individualized patient treatment utilizing movement of a horse to meet identified therapy goals.

Hippotherapy is not a riding lesson. It is one form of Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy treatment prescribed by a physician and delivered by a team that includes a licensed, credentialed therapist in conjunction with a professional horse handler and a specially screened and trained therapy horse.

The Right Step works cooperatively with you to enhance physical, perceptual, and learning skills. We provide Occupational Therapy and Additional Services including home programming, therapeutic listening, myofascial release, craniosacral treatments, and life skills training in a natural environment that includes the mental and emotional benefits associated with the human-animal bond.
